Regional and national information society services being packaged into a single location for Ostrobothnian residents
The Ostrobothnian media company I-Mediat has attached Itella's NetPosti service as an integral part of the online services of the Ilkka and Pohjalainen newspapers. A NetPosti box is now available at www.ilkka.fi and www.pohjalainen.fi.
I-Mediat intends to develop its online services into a meeting point for the region's residents, companies, communities and representatives of the public sector, which means that in addition to news, the goal is to also compile other useful services in the same location.
- We want to be pioneers in electronic services, and to actively develop our own electronic services. We find Itella's NetPosti the best partner for electronic services. NetPosti will give our customers the opportunity to manage almost all of their household tasks, from payslips to bills. With the service, many matters previously archived in physical folders can be taken care of in electronic format, says Marko Orpana, Director of I-Mediat online and mobile business.
I-Mediat newspaper bills may now also be received in NetPosti, and the entire billing process can be taken care of electronically all the way from receiving the bill to archiving it, and the bill can be paid by moving from NetPosti to an online bank.
- Ilkka's online service has about 40,000 different visitors a week, and the online service of Pohjalainen has about 30,000 different visitors. It is great that Ostrobothnians have adopted regional electronic services this well as part of their everyday life. We are confident that by first carrying out local matters, it is then natural to also start taking care of other everyday affairs in electronic format. At the moment, NetPosti has almost 2,200 different official forms, says Tommi Björklund, Director of NetPosti's solutions business.
