Itella's transportation services for Contract Customers will be renewed as of June 1, 2010
From the start of June, Itella will offer an increasingly wider range of services for your company and your customers. With the same service, you will be able to send everything, from parcels to bigger shipments, depending on you need. At the same time, the service features and the additional services available will become more diverse. Our transportation services were renamed in September 2009, and the old names will be fully discontinued on December 31, 2010.
First provider of climate-friendly transportation in Finland
From the start of June, 2010, all domestic transportation services will be produced in a climate-friendly way. Itella Green will be discontinued as a paid additional service and we will be the first provider in Finland to automatically offer you climate-friendly transportations for the same price. By using our services, you can communicate to your customers that your company operates responsibly.
Renewed transportation services improve service quality and reliability
From now on, Itella Economy shipments picked up from a postal outlet include more effective electronic arrival notifications. Once electronic advance information (an EDI message) about a shipment has been received, your customer will be notified of the shipment's arrival electronically by a text message or email, and the customer can immediately pick up the parcel. When necessary, the customer will be sent two reminders of the parcels last pick-up day, which will decrease the number of returns. By also using an optional pick-up feature in an online store, the recipient may retrieve the shipment at any postal outlet he or she has chosen.
We will always agree on the delivery time in advance with the customer for shipments delivered to the doorstep. The new extended installation service for home deliveries will satisfy the most demanding recipients. We will also install large domestic appliances or computers, and provide the installation of several pieces of equipment at the same time. If you prefer, the packaging waste will be cleaned up after the visit and the old equipment will be delivered to the appropriate recycling point. Home deliveries of furniture will also be more convenient than before.
For all shipments delivered directly to the end-customer, we will always store the signature and the recipient's name information into our system free of charge. In this way, you can easily check who has received your shipment from Itella´s Tracking system.
