Definition of publication

Size and weight limits:

  • Minimum size: 90mm x 130mm
  • Maximum size 320mm x 470mm (must fit through a 30mm x 250mm mail slot)
  • Maximum weight 2kg

An item is regarded as a publication if

  • it looks like a magazine or newspaper and can be processed as such;
  • it is unwrapped, or has been wrapped in such a way that it can be identified as a publication.

You need a separate contract with Itella for the transport and delivery of a publication.

Publication register

Once the publisher and the Itella’s contact person have jointly established that the item meets the requirements for a publication, a contract can be concluded. All publications under Itellas’s Publication solutions must be entered in the Publication register

  • Itella and the customer conclude a customer contract and a product contract and prepare a production appendix.
  • Itella enters the publication in the Publication register, which it maintains.
  • The contract is renewed on an annual basis, if necessary.
