Electronic advice of arrival

An electronic advice of arrival requests that customers collect their orders from the postal outlet as soon as possible. Or, if the order is delivered straight to the customer’s home, he or she will know when to be there to receive it. This will reduce the number of returns and the resulting costs.

There are three service options:

  • An advance notice of an incoming item as a text message
  • An advice of arrival informing the addressee of the arrival of an item, sent as iPost or electronically to NetPosti
  • A second advice of arrival reminding the addressee of an uncollected item as a text message, iPost or electronically to NetPosti

The service is subject to an EDI contract.

The sender sends an EDI message on mailed items. The advice of arrival to be sent to the customer is selected on the basis of the message.

If your company does not have an EDI contract, don’t hesitate to contact us. Itella will find the right data transmission solution for you.
