Postal Code Areas
Finland is divided into the postal code areas shown on the map. The first two digits of a postal code indicate the area in which the locality is situated. The last three digits denote the destination post office within the postal code area to which an item is delivered.
If you know the postal code of a place, you can use the map to find out where the place is located. For example, as you can see from the map, postal codes beginning with 87, 88 or 89 will direct an item to Kajaani or the surrounding areas.
