The Information Service was refined on June 2, 2010

The Information Service has been developed to better cater to customer needs. New, requested features will be included in it. The service levels, material delivery methods and reporting have been clarified at the same time.

The service prices will remain unchanged.

Changes taking effect on June 2, 2010

  • Service levels and identification information
    From now on, identification information (e.g., customer number) will always be saved when it is marked on the shipment. Service levels 3 and 4 will be discontinued.

  • A new policy for return addresses
    From now on, undelivered shipments can be returned to a return address (different than that on the shipment) specified by the customer.

  • Service numbers can be named
    A service number you are using may be named after the purpose, which makes it easier to follow reporting.
  • New information in the delivered material
    From now on, more specific information will be available for both private and corporate customers, such as the information of death, or of discontinued business.

  • The delivery methods and file formats of changes of address
    Materials are delivered either to Itella's extranet for retrieval, as an FTP transfer, by email or as a letter to the customer. New file formats include PDF, CSV and XML.

  • Report renewed
    The report has a new look, and the information is more clearly distinguishable.

Service levels and identification information New features and submitted information
Available service levels include 0, 1 and 2.

So far, identification information has been mandatory for service levels 1 and 2. From now on, identification information will always be stored and delivered when it is marked on the shipment.

Levels 3 and 4 will be discontinued - ready printed materials of level 3 or level 4 may be used until the end of 2010.

Invoicing Changes to iPost shipments

The invoicing pace of the Information Service will be harmonized to match Itella's general policy.

After delivering the changed information, the service will be charged according to the invoicing pace agreed on for the company, together with other Itella services.

If you use the Information Service for your shipments, proceed as follows:

- Former service level 3: choose service level 1 from now on.

- Former service level 4: choose service level 2 from now on.
