According to a study carried out by Natural Interest, the carbon dioxide emissions of the production process of a fully electronic letter are approximately 40% lower than those of a traditionally distributed letter on paper.
The paper process produces carbon dioxide emissions of about 50 grams, including distribution. An electronic letter produces carbon dioxide emissions of about 30 grams per letter. However, as the volume of electronic letters increases, the process can achieve nearly 90% lower carbon dioxide emissions compared to paper.
