Itella's marketing communication is the first carbon-neutral marketing channel in Finland!
Carbon dioxide emissions caused by producing and delivering Itella marketing messages are actively reduced through Itella's environment program and other development projects. To compensate for emissions, Itella finances Gold Standard certified climate projects which decrease the corresponding amount of emissions elsewhere.
As of 2010, the carbon dioxide emissions caused by the production and delivery of Itella marketing messages have been compensated for in full. The carbon dioxide emissions of Itella marketing messages are annually about 20,000 tons, which accounts for 20% of Itella Group's Finnish emissions. CO2-neutrality is a basic feature of the delivery products of Itella.

In the Itella eCard and DMmessage services, the deliveries are automatically marked with the Itella Green marking, indicating a climate-friendly delivery.
