Jabteam web shop set up in one month

The co-operation between Jabteam and Itella began in July 2006. The complete service package offered by Itella facilitated the company to get sales at the web shop up and running one month after the contract had been signed. The website has attracted even more visitors than anticipated and sales volumes were satisfactory.

Jabteam’s web shop sells combat sports, fitness and gym training equipment. The product range is divided into three categories: Fitness, Training and Pro, based on the most essential characteristics in terms of users. Products must be of premium quality for expert customers.
Web shop displays products in an organised manner
The launch of the web shop was an important step for Jabteam, since it reaches a wide audience, not only in Finland but also abroad. Sufficiently large market volumes allow the company to offer premium-quality products at moderate prices.
“The web shop will enable us to offer useful information to our customers. In our opinion e-tailers have not yet fully exploited this possibility. It is easy to compare products over the Internet since prices are public. Customers will surely benefit from competition over other features and services important to them, and a relatively large number of special products can be displayed in an organised manner, even better than in a traditional shop ", comments Mr Sirén on the characteristics of eCommerce.
Itella’s eCommerce service package entails not only the actual electronic marketplace on the Internet but also target group sampling, methods for reaching customers, marketing services, order processing, payment, warehousing, and the transport and processing of returns.
